Irwin were perhaps best known at the time for featuring drummer Mike Scarlatelli, of party ska/punk band Bunjie Jambo (and now owner of the Smiling Moose venue). Frontman Bill Merante did time in local bands like Paris Green and later spent the 2000s in the band Life In Bed. Irwin was a forgotten gem, with tricky songs and heartfelt vocals. If you like oddball 90s bands like Sideshow or Clockhammer, you'll love these guys!
