It doesn't get much more raw than this 8-song demo from Geared Towards Nowhere, a four-piece band from... who knows? Consisting of Bill Bournas (drums), Jimmy Franklin (guitar), David Heppner (guitar/synth), and Luke Johnson (bass), GTN bashed out this clearly homemade demo with no vocals, no budget, and a lot of spirit. The music is pretty straightforward melodic rock with a few crunchy riffs and the most basement-band tone you could imagine.
No shade on these guys! Everyone's gotta start somewhere, and they clearly had heart and enthusiasm for miles. I'm mostly listing this because if you know one of these guys, and want to make their entire year, you could pick it up and surprise them with it.
