This 1893 hardcover is in remarkable shape. This German-language text of the "Imitation of Christ" manuscript is remarkably clean and well preserved. The cover has darkened a little with age but the front image looks beautiful and the book has avoided the soiling most books this age exhibit. Pages are clean and well preserved, the binding is solid. It's a beautiful book!
Inside the book I found a page of handwritten notes in German dated 1905 (I can make out 'Tiffin, Ohio' and that's about it). I will include this sheet with the book.
